I find it really interesting, in a cynical-actually-not-interesting sort of way, how the argument has been made, and the discussion formed around the idea of taxing and/or increasing costs of health care providers because they also supply plans that include abortion. More specifically, I’m “interested” in how this can happen without it being seen as a blatant discriminatory move against, well, women. This isn’t hurting the left, the pro-choice movement, etc. It’s hurting women.
If a similar move was made against healthcare providers who covered, say, psychiatric care for war vets, or perhaps more comprehensive care for construction workers dealing with asbestos and other hazardous materials, the press would have slammed Boehner & friends. Where is the backlash?
